President’s Note
President’s Note, August 19, 2025
I am proud to present Washington College’s 2025-2026 Course Catalog. As President of this historic and esteemed institution, I am continually impressed by the strength, diversity, and breadth of the learning and educational opportunities offered to our students.
The 2025-2026 Course Catalog showcases Washington College's academic strengths, our dedication to teaching excellence, and our curriculum's focus on interdisciplinary and experiential learning. In this catalog, you will find a variety of majors, minors, programs, and concentrations designed to meet the needs of today’s students. What you don't see, however, is the effort behind its creation: the ongoing work of our faculty and staff to uphold the highest academic standards, relevance, and preparedness for a rapidly changing world.
Students, both past and present, also understand that Washington College focuses on building relationships through close collaboration in learning. Supported by our outstanding faculty and staff, who serve as advisors, teachers, mentors, and more, we recognize that education is most effective when everyone actively participates, learning from and with each other. Therefore, I encourage all of you to take full advantage of everything Washington College offers, both inside and outside the pages of this catalog.
